The West Orange Chamber of Commerce, with over 1, 000 member businesses and organizations, is the catalyst for a vibrant community.  The West Orange Chamber focuses on the issues that matter the most to the business community: improving quality of life, promoting economic growth and making West Orange County a brand name that means opportunity.

Our Chamber is engaged in business advocacy, business development and business services for the benefit of each of our members, which include businesses of all size and sectors – from large companies to home-based, one-person operations.  In fact, the majority of our membership encompasses businesses with fewer than ten employees.

Sometimes being a new Chamber member it’s hard to go to large meetings when you hardly know anyone. I attended the January “Lead and Feed” and felt welcome from the time I walked through the door. I’m not the best public speaker but I get through it somehow. After the meeting was over I met Janet Collins the owner of “Collins Catering”. She said the backflow at her business failed and had to be replaced. The following day I went out and looked at it and yes, it had to be replaced. I asked her if her property management company was responsible for cost. Why should she pay if they’re responsible? She said she would contact them and find out.  Sure enough a few days later I followed up and the property management company is going to incur the cost.  Janet went out of her way and gave my information to her property manager. Janet then gave me the contact information for them. I can’t thank her enough! This is one of the largest property management companies in Central Florida. I called and set up a meeting with them for the next morning. After all was said and done I got Janet’s replacement. In addition, they said I will have an additional 22 properties (SHOPPING CENTERS) in this area and asked if I will travel to the surrounding counties! (which I do!)

I want to thank the Chamber for giving me the opportunity to meet other members, and for helping me build my business. I especially want to thank Janet for going out of her way for me! In a short time I’ve learned these networking groups and workshops work! You have to get involved with the Chamber, join groups and go to events! You can’t join , sit back and wait for business to come to you. Thank you again for offering the “Lead and Feed Group”.
